Pilot Controlled Lighting (“we”, “us”) operates pilotcontrolledlighting.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Order information. When you place an order we collect your name, company (if provided), billing and shipping address, email address, phone number (if provided), and the products you purchase.
  • Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never stored on our website. We receive only limited details such as the card type, the last four digits, and whether the payment succeeded.
  • Messages and forms. If you contact us or submit a form, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and message.
  • Product reviews. If you leave a review, we collect your name, email address, review text, and any photos you upload. Your name, review, and photos may be shown publicly on our website. Your email address is not shown.
  • Usage information. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site.

How we use your information

  • To process, ship, and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and shipment tracking.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer and technical support.
  • To protect our website and customers from fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • To understand how our website is used and to improve it.
  • To measure and improve our advertising.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Payment processing: Stripe
  • Shipping: Shippo and shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx), which receive your name and shipping address to deliver your order
  • Website hosting and security: Amazon Web Services (hosting) and Cloudflare (website security and performance, including Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection on our forms)
  • Email delivery: the email service we use to send order and contact emails
  • Analytics and advertising: Google

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, warranty, and support purposes. We keep other information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Security

Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and we take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. We may need to keep certain records, such as order and tax records, where the law requires it. Children
